The Frog Street Curriculum at Beacon Hill Schools

Why the Frog Street Curriculum?

At Beacon Hill Schools, we employ the Frog Street Curriculum, a comprehensive and research-based approach designed for children from birth to age four. This curriculum helps build a strong foundation in social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through engaging, hands-on activities. It’s designed to foster independence, confidence, and curiosity in every child.

Age-Specific Learning Stages

Infants (6 weeks-12 months):

Frog Street for Infants is rooted in early brain development research, focusing on sensory experiences that stimulate growth. Our program nurtures your child’s early learning and development during these critical first months.

Toddlers/Twos (1-3 years):

For toddlers, learning happens through exploration. Frog Street for Toddlers and Twos builds curiosity and cognitive skills through interactive, play-based activities, all based on the latest brain research.

Preschool (3-4 years):

Preschoolers begin to transition from parallel play to interactive learning. Frog Street for Preschool promotes social interactions, language development, and emotional growth, preparing children for kindergarten.

Personalized Assessments for Every Child

At Beacon Hill Schools, we know that every child’s development is unique. To ensure we meet each child’s individual needs, we use the Frogstreet AIM Assessment to monitor their growth in key developmental areas, such as language, physical, social, and emotional skills.

These assessments are conducted twice a year to provide valuable insight into each child’s progress. This helps us create tailored learning experiences that support their growth.

During parent-teacher conferences, we share these results with families, working together to plan the best strategies for their child’s continued success.
